Take two of the hottest stars in Hollywood right now and put them in a romantic thriller… in space! Yep, that’s pretty much what PASSENGERS looks like. It also looks expensive and glossy as hell. Directed by Morten Tyldum (THE IMITATION GAME), it features Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence as two frozen-in-hibernation (and unexpectedly thawed) interstellar passengers on a space station that is still 90 years away from it’s desired location, and now they have no way to go back into deep sleep. The screenplay by Jon Spaihts has been out there for a while already, and was heralded before the filming even came together, so the studio may be expecting this Sci-Fi epic to be fairly award-worthy. Michael Sheen plays what looks like a SHINING-esque robotic bartender, and the supporting cast includes Laurence Fishburne and Andy Garcia. Take a look at the new trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are two passengers on board a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As Jim and Aurora try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction… only to be threatened by the imminent collapse of the ship and the discovery of the truth behind why they woke up.
