Kevin Hart has proved himself a force to be reckoned with at the box office, and is no stranger to concert/documentary movies and television. In 2013, KEVIN HART: LET ME EXPLAIN took us behind the scenes of his performance at Madison Square Garden. His newest film KEVIN HART: WHAT NOW? has him filling a gigantic football stadium (53,000 people) for one major performance (shot last fall), but it’s also complimented by some James Bond-esque shtick scenes featuring popular names like Halle Berry and Don Cheadle. The new trailer below gives you an idea of what to expect. I especially like the racial harmony through comedy aspect, hoping that plays well in the finished film. I’ve interviewed Kevin a few times for his films, and I’ve always found him to be very genuine and smart, and of course very funny, so I’m happy to see him have continued success. Tell us your thoughts on the new trailer in the comments.
In Universal Pictures’ Kevin Hart: What Now?, comedic rock-star Kevin Hart follows up his 2013 hit stand-up concert movie Let Me Explain, which grossed $32 million domestically and became the third-highest live stand-up comedy movie of all time. Hart takes center stage in this groundbreaking, record-setting, sold-out performance of “What Now?”—filmed outdoors in front of 50,000 people at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field—marking the first time a comedian has ever performed to an at-capacity football stadium.
