Bryan Fuller’s new CBS series has a new name, a new ship, and a few more details to entice viewers to the new series debuting in 2017.
The new ship was shown off to Hall H attendees this morning (after Fuller welcomed folks in line with coffee and donuts), and a few more tantalizing bits were revealed on the latest addition to the TREK family at the show’s 50th Anniversary panel.
“There are so many reasons why we settled on Discovery. But the chief one amongst them was that I couldn’t think of a more Star Trek-themed name for a ship than Discovery.”
STAR TREK: DISCOVERY will debut in January 2017 on CBS, then moves to the network’s digital All Access platform for first-run episodes.
