The PIRANHA 3-D trailer is here

.

You may have heard about PIRANHA 3-D by now, which is being helmed by director Alexandre Aja (HIGH TENSION, THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2006 remake).  But just in case you haven’t, the official trailer is here, and looks like a fun time at the movies, especially if you’re a fan of the old PIRANHA movies.  Plus the cast includes Elisabeth Shue, Christopher Lloyd, Eli Roth, Dina Meyer, Steven R. McQueen (grandson of Steve McQueen), Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, Jerry O’ Connell, Richard Dreyfuss, and Kelly Brook (my future wife).  I would almost call this more of a “teaser”, but it gives you an idea of what to expect.  Many are saying this could be the next SNAKES ON A PLANE – guilty pleasure horror.  Aja has been working on the film and its 3-D treatment for over a year, and though this isn’t the same 3-D and James Cameron’s AVATAR, I imagine it’s going to be a visual treat.  Check out the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments below.

PIRANHA 3-D opens August 27, 2010
