EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!! interviews with Wyatt Russell, Quinton Johnson & Glen Powell

Richard Linklater’s loving tribute to early 1980s culture EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!! is now playing pretty much everywhere. Being a child of the 80s, I was interested to see just how well the seasoned director could capture the era without it seeming silly or overplayed. The end result is rather impressive, so much so it felt like a trip down memory lane, at least to me. It also has one of the best soundtracks of the year. Among the large and mostly fresh-faced cast are Wyatt Russell, Quinton Johnson and Glen Powell – all three of them stopped in Dallas to promote the movie, and I had a chance to talk to them about their roles in the film. This is being called a “spiritual sequel” to DAZED AND CONFUSED, and that’s actually a good way to describe it. If you’re near my age, you have no idea just how much you may end up appreciating it.
