CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE trailer – Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart shoot for laughs

centralintelligence-poster2

The concept of CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE looks pretty familiar, following the basic buddy cop movie motif, but there’s inspired casting choices here. Kevin Hart plays the straight man this time out, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays the goofy guy. The story pairs them together as two old high school friends who grew up very different from what they used to be. Johnson went from being an overweight nerd into a muscle-bound CIA agent that’s tough as nails, but still a little bit of a dork. Hart plays the high school star jock who grows up to be a straight-laced computer guy. Now they have to work together to stay alive and bring down the bad guys. Aaron Paul, Amy Ryan, Megan Park and Ryan Hansen co-star. The comedy is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (WE’RE THE MILLERS) and hits theaters this June. Tell us what you think of the trailer in the comments below.

The story follows a one-time bullied geek who grew up to be a lethal CIA agent (Johnson), coming home for his high school reunion. Claiming to be on a top-secret case, he enlists the help of the former “big man on campus” (Hart), now an accountant who misses his glory days. But before the staid numbers-cruncher realizes what he’s getting into, it’s too late to get out, as his increasingly unpredictable new friend drags him through a world of shoot-outs, double-crosses and espionage that could get them both killed in more ways than he can count.

CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE opens June 17, 2016
