CONTEST OVER: Congratulations to Alan Fry, who sent in the best photo and story we got, and that’s saying a lot. Big thanks to all who entered, we wish we could have awarded you all. Please stay tuned for info on our next contest.
We’ve got a very cool contest for our Dallas readers. We’re giving away one pair of reserved seats to the red carpet premiere on Thursday (February 18 at 7pm at Cinemark West Plano) of EDDIE THE EAGLE with Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton and Director Dexter Fletcher in attendance! This is a rare opportunity to see this inspirational movie with the men who made it possible there to kick it off. Since this is a film about a man achieving his dream on skis, we’re going to make the contest entry process appropriate. Here’s what we want. If you have a fun photo of you skiing, or a nice shot of you on skis, send it our way with the story behind it. Entries need to be emailed to hotfishstudios [at] hotmail.com – or just CLICK HERE to send us an email. We want these seats to go to a deserving winner, so put some good effort into this. Get us your ski pics! Contest ends Wednesday night at 10pm. Winner will be notified the following morning with instructions. No duplicate entries or multiple emails. Winners are responsible for getting themselves to the theater and must arrive early.
Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.
I would love to be inspired !!!
I would love to see this movie based upon a true life story.
