In the new comedy THE BOSS, Melissa McCarthy plays Michelle Darnell, a sort of Martha Stewart/Oprah Winfrey hybrid who gets busted for insider trading. Her offense forces her to try leading a more normal and respectable life, which of course brings on the hilarity. McCarthy’s real life husband Ben Falcone co-writes and directs here, their second teaming since the somewhat forgettable TAMMY. Let’s hope this one has a little more spark. The impressive supporting cast includes Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal, Kathy Bates, Parker Young, Cecily Strong, Margo Martindale and Tyler Labine. Check out the first trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

A titan of industry is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.

THE BOSS opens April 8, 2016
