THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT is the third chapter adapting the popular Young Adult book series by Veronica Roth to the big screen. There’s one more after this one, ASCENDANT, so you could call this the penultimate installment of the popular film series. Robert Schwentke (RED) is back as director, with a cast that includes Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Naomi Watts, Theo James, Bill Skarsgård, Ansel Elgort, Jeff Daniels, Maggie Q, Jonny Weston, Keiynan Lonsdale, Nadia Hilker and Octavia Spencer. I thought INSURGENT was a strong improvement of DIVERGENT, perhaps thanks to Schwentke taking over as director, so I’m interested to see how this one turns out. Check out the first teaser poster (above) and trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

The third installment of the blockbuster Divergent series franchise, ALLEGIANT takes Tris [Shailene Woodley] and Four [Theo James] into a new world, far more dangerous than ever before. After the earth-shattering revelations of INSURGENT, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT opens March 18th, 2016
