THE MAZE RUNNER was one of the young adult adaptations that really took me by surprise, I thought it was rather smart and exciting, definitely one of the better films of its type. The sequel MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS hits theaters this September, with director Wes Ball back at the helm. The returning cast includes Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Ki Hong Lee, who are joined in this installment by Aiden Gillen, Rosa Salazar, Katherine McNamara, Jacob Lofland, Giancarlo Esposito, Lili Taylor, and Barry Pepper. Based on the book series by James Dashner, this may be my favorite YA film series to date… of course that will be determined once the sequel hits. Check out the newest trailer and character posters below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
