One of the awesome actors attending this week’s USA Film Festival in Dallas is the talented Ernie Hudson. Being a child of the 1980s, I first got to know Hudson from his co-starring role of Winston Zeddemore in GHOSTBUSTERS (1984), but over the years he’s had an impressive list of credits for both film and television. Movies like THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE, THE CROW, NO ESCAPE, AIRHEADS, CONGO, THE SUBSTITUTE, and MISS CONGENIALITY 1 and 2 are just a few of the films people remember him well for. And let’s not forget his role in this hit prison series OZ. When you look at his IMDB page, it’s a long and varied list that commands respect. He’s appearing in Dallas on Wednesday night, April 22, for a special showing of his new movie GALLOWS ROAD, and a tribute Q&A to follow. I had a chance to chat with Ernie today, and we covered several things fans may be interested in, including his memories of Harold Ramis, and the rumors of him possibly being in Marvel’s BLACK PANTHER movie. This is also noteworthy as Hudson will be back in Dallas on May 29-31 for Fan Expo Dallas presented by Dallas Comic Con. Check out the interview below, and if you’re in Dallas click here for info on the USA Film Festival.
