NO ESCAPE trailer – Owen Wilson & Pierce Brosnan get serious in a Southeast Asian war

noescape-header

The Weinstein Company’s upcoming film NO ESCAPE (which has nothing to do with the Ray Liotta film from 1994 with the same name) stars Owen Wilson as a family man that moves his brood to Southeast Asia, and winds up in the middle of an unexpected war. The lovely Lake Bell plays his wife, and he finds a helping hand in Pierce Brosnan… the latter of which we fully expect to be a bad ass here. It’s directed by John Erick Dowdle, who was responsible for QUARANTINE and DEVIL, and looks to be an intense ride. This is also quite a change for both Wilson and Bell, who typically appear in comedies. Check out the intense trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

An intense international thriller, NO ESCAPE centers on an American businessman (Wilson) as he and his family settle into their new home in Southeast Asia. Suddenly finding themselves in the middle of a violent political uprising, they must frantically look for a safe escape as rebels mercilessly attack the city. Directed by John Erick Dowdle and written together with his brother Drew, NO ESCAPE stars Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell.

NO ESCAPE opens September 2, 2015
