We’ve wondered if the Josh Trank reboot of THE FANTASTIC FOUR was going to eclipse the previous attempts to turn Marvel’s super troupe into film heroes, or eclipse their failures to capture the audience. Advance looks at the film have been nonexistent, and we’ve ben left to decode actor statements about their characters, which have only left us scowling.
The wall of secrecy began to crack yesterday with some behind-the-scenes stills on Collider, along with an extensive interview with Trank. Which leads to this, True Believers – the advance teaser trailer for THE FANTASTIC FOUR:
Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
THE FANTASTIC FOUR, starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Toby Kebbell, and Jamie Bell, written by Simon Kinberg and directed by Josh Trank, hits theaters on August 5.
