The story of Peter Pan is one Hollywood always seems eager to revisit. In Warner Bros. new movie PAN, we get a somewhat odd and earlier incarnation of the classic J.M. Barrie hero. It’s directed by Joe Wright (HANNA) and stars Hugh Jackman (as Blackbeard), Garrett Hedlund (as Hook, sounding like Heath Ledger’s Joker here), Rooney Mara (as Tiger Lilly), and introducing Levi Miller as Peter Pan… oh, and Amanda Seyfried is in there too. While the whole Peter and Wendy story is one we all know and love, I’m actually happy to see a different take on the tale. This also look crazy bizarre, so it will either be brilliant or an absolute disaster. Looking at Joe Wright’s track record I’m going to guess we’re all in for a treat. Check out the four posters above and trailer below, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

The story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny — to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.

PAN opens on June 26, 2015
