If you’ve been hoping for a fourth installment in the JURASSIC PARK franchise (or even if you haven’t), you’re gonna get it next year for sure, and now we finally get our first trailer. Universal Pictures revealed the teaser for JURASSIC WORLD (which wasn’t supposed to hit the web until Thanksgiving), and it’s pretty awesome. Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films, is producing along with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Right now all eyes are on Colin Trevorrow as director, who previously gave us the film festival favorite SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED. Trevorrow re-teams with SAFETY screenwriter Derek Connolly. As packed as 2015 is already looking (AVENGERS 2, a new STAR WARS, a FANTASTIC FOUR reboot, ANT-MAN, and TERMINATOR 5 are just a few of the biggies hitting next year), there’s surprisingly nothing else big scheduled to be released that weekend… so far. The cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, and Omar Sy. Are you excited to see more from this franchise? Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.
Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. In 2001 he started the Entertainment section of the Herorealm website, where he contributed film reviews and celebrity interviews until 2004. After three years of service there, he started Bigfanboy.com, which has become one of the Dallas film community's leading information websites. Bigfanboy hosts several movie screenings in the Texas area, and works closely with film and TV studios and promotional partners to host exciting events and contests. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
