STAR WARS fans have been anxiously waiting for an official look at the new J.J. Abrams film, and to date all we’ve seen are spy photos and video obtained through nefarious means. This Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, we’ll be giving thanks for the first official teaser trailer… well, some of us will. Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm are releasing an early 88-second teaser for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (aka EPISODE VII) in select theaters across the United States starting Friday morning, November 28. After that it’s said all other theaters will received the trailer starting in December, and we expect it will show up online around that same time. But come on, you know you want to see it on the BIG screen, that’s how it will play best. Check out the full list of theaters getting it this Friday across the U.S. to see if there’s a spot near you. Please note, we have not been told if this is a situation where all shows at each theaters will show it, so it’s best to call and ask the theater before buying a ticket for any of their shows on Friday. We expect it will be paired with appropriate films, like INTERSTELLAR, or perhaps BIG HERO 6 since that’s a Disney film. Will you be making the trip to see it this Friday? Let us know in the comments! Also note, when Lucasfilm premiered the trailer for the prequels in theaters, they showed the trailer once before the film and once after. We’re not sure if that will happen with this one, but it’s worth asking about.
