CONSTANTINE interviews with Matt Ryan, Charles Halford, Harold Perrineau & Angélica Celaya

Being a passionate fan of Vertigo’s HELLBLAZER comic books, I was cautiously optimistic about NBC’s new series CONSTANTINE. The first official promo image featuring Matt Ryan as John Constantine was a definite step up from the 2005 movie adaptation featuring Keanu Reeves. John Constantine finally looked like John was supposed to, and word was the creative team of David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone were making sure things were done right. Earlier this year I had the pleasure of hanging out with Charles Halford (who plays “Chas” in the series) shortly after they shot the pilot. At that time it wasn’t even known if the show would be picked up or not, but at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con the news was made official. NBC saw promise in the show, which is now playing on Fridays and has already gained an enthusiastic fan base. With CONSTANTINE, GOTHAM and THE FLASH premiering, and ARROW still going strong, DC Comics is really dominating the airwaves. Check out our SDCC interviews with Daniel Cerone and David Goyer, and cast members Harold Perrineau, Angélica Celaya, Charles Halford and Matt Ryan.
