With New York Comic-Con this weekend, Walt Disney Pictures has unleashed the first teaser trailer for Brad Bird’s TOMORROWLAND, a film that’s been shrouded in mystery for a while now. And man oh man, this is exactly what a “teaser” trailer should be. It gives us just tiny hints of what to expect, yet somehow it’s just enough. Check it out for yourself and see if you don’t agree. There’s a short plot synopsis below as well. TOMORROWLAND stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson. Oh, and in case you forgot who Brad Bird is, he gave us THE INCREDIBLES and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL… now to mention THE IRON GIANT, so chances are this is gonna be good. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s riveting, mystery adventure “Tomorrowland,” starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.
WOW, is this really based on the area in Epcot center? Because I’m impressed, kind of like how the Pirates movies turned out well, this looks well done and a bunch of great actors. I’m still kind of annoyed at Britt Robertson for yelling and crying her way to the top, a la Under the Dome and Life Unexpected. But like in Shailene Woodley’s case, Secret Life of an American Teen can’t always define you; hopefully I can watch a couple of really great performances and forgive her as she improves. Tomorrowland looks pretty freaking sweet!
