One of the big surprises at this year’s Fantastic Fest was JOHN WICK, an action/revenge flick starring Keanu Reeves, which turned out to be one of the most entertaining films at the festival. Since THE MATRIX movies ran their course, it’s probably safe to say Reeves hasn’t had many memorable films in recent years. This may be the remedy though. I’m still writing my review, but I can safely say I loved it. The story finds Keanu as a former tough guy assassin who left his ways behind him and lives alone with an insanely cute little dog, a gift from his dying wife… until some punks decide to target him, which turns out to be a huge mistake. Directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, the film also stars Michael Nyqvist, Willem Dafoe, Adrianne Palicki, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Alfie Allen, Lance Reddick, David Patrick Kelly, Dean Winters and Ian McShane. Check out the final one-minute trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

From the producer of CLASH OF THE TITANS and THE TOWN comes a tale of adrenaline-fueled revenge and redemption. When a retired hit man is forced back into action by a sadistic young thug, he hunts down his adversaries with the skill and ruthlessness that made him an underworld legend.

JOHN WICK opens October 24, 2014
