GOTHAM video interviews – Erin Richards, Jada Pinkett Smith and Bruno Heller

gotham-interviews

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, I had the pleasure of sitting in on some roundtable interviews with some of the GOTHAM cast and show creator Bruno Heller. Due to time constraints, we weren’t able to talk with everyone, but I think you’ll agree the content we did get is pretty fun, particularly Jada, who brought along a prop. GOTHAM premieres tonight on Fox at 7pm Central. Based on the same universe surrounding DC Comics’ Batman, the show follows Commissioner Gordon as a younger detective for the Gotham Police Department (played by Ben McKenzie), and also shows young versions of Catwoman, Poison Ivy, The Penguin and even Bruce Wayne. We’ve always seen (in flashback) the moment where Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered, but the show uses that moment as a jumping off point, and moves forward from there. Advance word on the show has been really strong, and the sneak preview at San Diego went over very well. Check out the roundtable interviews below, and tune in tonight to see the world of GOTHAM for yourself. Let us know in the comments what you thought of it.

First up, here’s writer Bruno Heller, who also created THE MENTALIST:

Next up is Erin Richards, who plays Barbara Kean on the show:

And finally here’s Jada Pinkett Smith, who plays Fish Mooney… complete with her favorite weapon:
