Two-time Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained) stars in a new sci-fi epic from director Terry Gilliam. Gilliam continues his tradition of visually-stunning fantasy films that he mastered in the 1980’s with Time Bandits, Brazil, and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

In The Zero Theorem, Waltz play Qohen, a reclusive computer genius working on a mysterious project that may reveal the meaning of life – or the lack of one. Gilliam has called the film the conclusion of his dystopian satire trilogy (or “Orwellian Triptych”) that also includes 1985’s Brazil and 1995’s 12 Monkeys.

THE ZERO THEOREM opens in Dallas on Friday, September 19 at the Texas Theatre and Alamo Drafthouse DFW – check local listings for other regional showings
