Hey Dallas, have you ever seen seen James Cameron’s classic sci-fi epic THE TERMINATOR on the big screen? If not, see it the way it was meant to be seen this weekend in 35mm at one of the coolest theaters in the metroplex. Join Bigfanboy.com on Thursday night (September 11), Friday night (September 12) or Saturday night (September 13) at the historic Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff.
Bigfanboy.com will be hosting the Saturday night 6pm show, and we’ll have some cool items to give away to some lucky fans! You could come watch the movie in classic fashion, and maybe pick up a cool goodie to take home! The Texas Theatre is a fantastic repertory cinema house, but they occasionally show first run features as well.
You don’t have to do anything special, just buy yourself a ticket for one of the three showings – Thursday night (7:30pm), Friday night (9:15pm), or Saturday night (6:00pm) – more info HERE. We’ll be out there on SATURDAY giving away some cool items before the 6pm show. You can also RSVP at the official Facebook Event Page
A few notes – if you’ve never been to the Texas Theatre, this is a great place to see movies in a classic environment. Painstakingly restored by the fine folks at Aviation Cinemas, the main house features an impressive 650 seats. Perhaps best known in history as the location where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, you’ll immediately feel the nostalgia upon entering the doors of this stylish building. The Texas Theatre also has a full bar and plenty of lounge seating, which is a great place to have a drink and talk about the film you’re about to see… or just saw!
An indestructible cyborg – a Terminator (Schwarzenegger) – is sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), the woman whose unborn son will become humanity’s only hope in a future war against machines. This legendary sci-fi thriller from pioneering writer/director James Cameron, written with Gale Anne Hurd, fires an arsenal of action and heart-stopping suspense that never lets up!
