The DOCTOR WHO BBC and BBC America press releases hit today, confirming the new season starring Peter Capaldi as the regenerated incarnation of the Doctor will hit on Saturday 23 August. American audiences will get a premiere at 8:00 pm ET (7:00 pm CT). The episode, titled “Deep Breath,” will be a “feature-length” debut (similar to the 90-minute length we’ve seen from show runner Steven Moffatt’s SHERLOCK.
Joining Capaldi will be Jenna Coleman, returning to the show as Clara Oswald. Companions always take regeneration the hardest, and from the looks of things, Clara’s no exception.
