New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY International Trailer shows lots of new footage – “I was going to put it in a box!”

We are roughly six weeks away from the August 1, 2014 North American debut of James Gunn’s pulpy sci-fi Marvel film, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and today we have a new international trailer.  Stripped away is the upbeat catchy throwback songs of the 80’s Hooked on a Feeling and Spirit of the Sky, and replaced with what may be our first good hint at the actual score for the film, this trailer has a more bleak tone than that of its predecessors, but that is not to say it is not without humor.  The banter between Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Jason Quill / Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is fantastic.

The more and more I see of this film, the more my excitement grows.  One thing that is interesting is that Marvel is definitely not showing us their full deck with these trailers and clips.  So far we have yet to see any official images of Yondu (Michael Rooker) or Thanos (Josh Brolin) whom we know both make an appearance in the film.  This could change over the next few weeks, but so far, they are keeping those surprises strictly for the film.

Check out the new trailer and let us know what you think?  Where is your excitement level for this one?
