What fascinates me about space? Simple: The infinite possibilities. As Tyson has pointed out, and as Sagan did before him, the universe is vast, and often vastly weird. weird in ways we can’t yet fully comprehend. Our world, our reality, is simply one small slice of the cosmic pie, one answer out of billions to the question, “What is it all about?” Slowly, we’re beginning to understand that our limited understanding of the universe is just the view from the very back of the theater – we can’t even begin to see the stage yet, nor even know what the play is about. And tat’s why I find it all so fascinating, because out there is the answer to every question ever asked, as well as countless questions we haven’t even thought to ask yet.
Hey John, thanks for the answer, but make sure to send an e-mail with that as your official entry. 🙂
