After seeing Chris Evans play the clean cut Steve Rogers in a few CAPTAIN AMERICA movies, it’s a little unusual to see him in a much more grizzled role like the one he plays in SNOWPIERCER. Directed by Bong Joon-Ho (THE HOST), the new film became the subject of controversy over possible severe editing, but supposedly the studio is releasing a full uncut version in U.S. theaters. Outside of Evans, the cast also includes John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner, Kang-ho Song, Ah-sung Ko, Tilda Swinton, Alison Pill, and Ed Harris. Take a look at the new trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

In this sci-fi epic from director Bong Joon-Ho (The Host, Mother), a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.

SNOWPIERCER opens on June 27, 2014
