We ended Day Seven with a bang, hitting THE RUNAWAYS red carpet premiere.  While there I spoke with GYM CLASS HEROES singer (surprise addition to the carpet) Travis McCoy, the original band’s lead singer Cherie Currie and manager Kim Fowley, THE RUNAWAYS director Floria Sigismondi, and stars Dakota Fanning and Kristin Stewart.  Whew!  The only no-show was Joan Jett, who (I heard) backed out because of a performance she had to do.  But overall we got some great answers from the talent, and this turned out to be one of our favorite red carpets of SXSW.  Big thanks to my buddy Devin Pike for manning the camera on this one.  Check out my review of THE RUNAWAYS here on the site.  (NOTE: As I just posted the video, it may take a while before the quality improves)

THE RUNAWAYS opens nationwide March 19, 2010
