LAST COMIC STANDING returns tonight – watch our short & sweet Roseanne Barr interview

roseanneint-header

Last year at San Diego Comic-Con, I did a short but sweet interview with Roseanne Barr, which sadly never got posted… for no particular reason, other than just getting backlogged. Why was she at Comic-Con, you ask? Fair question. Roseanne was part of a press day called “Comedy Legends of TV Land” along with William Shatner and Wayne Knight. You have to understand, Roseanne is a television presence I adore, as I’ve seen every single episode of her sitcom ROSEANNE multiple times both in its initial run and in syndication. It’s a series that was truly ahead of its time, and holds up well after all these years. Since LAST COMIC STANDING is returning to NBC tonight after being off the air since 2010, and Roseanne is one of the celebrity judges, I figured now was as good a time as any to dig out this interview and get it posted. There’s nothing earth-shattering here, but she does touch upon the episode brought up to her the most by fans, and I mention one of my favorites which apparently was a special one for her as well. We also joke about geriatric porn… well, it is Roseanne after all. Take a look below, followed by a preview for LAST COMIC STANDING, premiering Thursday night (May 22) at 8:00pm Central. Roseanne joins fellow comic judges Russell Peters and Keenen Ivory Wayans, along with host JB Smoove.
