BATMAN 75th Anniversary animated short by Bruce Timm is all kinds of cool

Last year we saw a rather awesome animated short by Bruce Timm celebrating Superman’s 75th Anniversary. This year it’s Batman’s turn. Timm has put together a rather amazing short that actually tells a little story, unlike the Superman video which was more of a montage of the Man of Steel through the years. This one is also done as a period piece and in black and white, which at one point Timm envisioned the original BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES being – worthy of note, Batman originally had longer ears like this video shows, and yes, he used a gun every now and then too. It features Dr. Hugo Strange, one of the earliest Batman villains, along with a Frankenstein-esque giant henchman. Give the video a watch below, along with a separate DC All Access video in which you’ll hear Bruce Timm talk about putting it together. Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
