SEX TAPE red band trailer – Cameron Diaz & Jason Segel star in this very Sony comedy

Most of the team from 2011’s BAD TEACHER are back together again for SEX TAPE. Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel play a couple who decide to make a sex tape to spice up their love life, but accidentally upload it to The Cloud, where all their friends (who they apparently bought Christmas iPads for) can now see it. Jake Kasdan directs the fun. There’s a few things immediately noticeable in the red band teaser trailer below. First and foremost, Jason Segel got skinny… like really skinny, appearing almost gaunt in the face. The second thing that stands out is related to the studio releasing the film. Sony is behind this, yet the problematic device that wreaks havoc in the lives of the leads is an Apple product, uploading to The Cloud. Is this a sort of shot against Apple, and possible ad for Sony products? You could certainly make that argument, especially if the story ends with Sony products lining the home and (as shown in the trailer) iPads getting destroyed left and right. In addition to Diaz and Segel, the films stars Rob Corddry, Ellie Kemper, Rob Lowe, Jack Black and Jolene Blalock. Take a look at the red band trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

A married couple wake up to discover that the sex tape they made the evening before has gone missing, leading to a frantic search for its whereabouts.

SEX TAPE opens on July 25, 2014
