One of this year’s big summer movies is DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, the sequel to RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, which did rather well at the box office. This time the director’s chair belongs to Matt Reeves (LET ME IN), and while Andy Serkis is back in the head motion capture role, the cast is all new faces. Gary Oldman, Judy Greer, Jason Clarke, Toby Kebell, Kick Acevedo, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Keri Russell are all featured. Check out the new poster above and new TV spot below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Are you excited for the next chapter in this franchise?

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
