HERCULES trailer & poster – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson becomes the legendary hero

We’ve already seen on Hercules movie this year in Renny Harlin’s THE LEGEND OF HERCULES starring Kellan Lutz… which didn’t go over so well at the box office. This July we’ll get the next attempt (simply titled HERCULES), this time directed by Brett Ratner and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the classic hero. Check out the first poster (above) and new teaser trailer below. It definitely seems like a role Dwayne was born to play, but Ratner in the director chair has some worried. I’m cautiously optimistic, as I do love The Rock in movies. Aside from Mr. Johnson, the film also stars Joseph Fiennes, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Rebecca Ferguson, Aksel Hennie and John Hurt. Check out the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend…

Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

HERCULES opens July 25, 2014
