We got our first official look at X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST on October 29, 2013… hard to believe it’s been that long before 20th Century Fox released a second trailer. Today that changes, in a big way too. Bryan Singer returns to the X-director chair for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, bringing back several of the original trilogy cast members for this dark follow-up to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Here’s who you’re about to see in the trailer – original Professor X (played by Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (played by Ian McKellen), Storm (played by Halle Berry), Rogue (played by Anna Paquin), Iceman (played by Shawn Ashmore), and Kitty Pryde (played by Ellen Page). Then there’s the more modern cast returning from the FIRST CLASS outing, including young Professor X (James McAvoy), young Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult), In this new trailer we get some really cool stuff, like Iceman (Ashmore) being all awesome as Iceman, a freaky fire dude, Magneto in a football stadium… it all looks awesome. With the last trailer we saw some of the newer faces that are going to show up in this one. We started with the bad guy Bolivar Trask (played by Peter Dinklage), who unfortunately is seen very briefly there, so his involvement in the story was still a bit of a mystery. Here’s who we’ve also spotted – Bishop (Omar Sy), Warpath (Booboo Stewart), Sunspot (Adan Canto), and Blink (Bingbing Fan)… as an X-Men comic book fan, this really is a dream come true. I’m hoping with Singer at the helm (the man who gave us two solid X-Men movies in the original trilogy) things will all come together. Take a look at the latest trailer and see what you think, and tell us in the comments.
