With the new GODZILLA a few months away and the awesomeness of PACIFIC RIM still fresh on the minds of many, it’s safe to say giant monsters are all the rage. The new web series from Machinima titled ENORMOUS is based Tim Daniel and Mehdi Cheggour’s graphic novel of the same name. It explores the lives of humans in Phoenix trying to survive in a world that has already been affected by giant monsters… but the real monsters may by some of the other people they encounter. It’s written by TROLLHUNTER‘s Andre Ovredal and directed by COST OF LIVING‘s BenDavid Grabinski, and it even features a cameo by my buddy, DRIVE ANGRY screenwriter Todd Farmer (he’s the bald and bearded baddie). Take a look at the pilot below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Starring Ceren Lee, Steven Brand, Billy Miller, Erica Gimpel, Garrett Coffey, Charles Melton, Dallas Liu, Joe Swanberg, Simon Barrett, Todd Farmer, and Nathan Moore.

Pre-order Enormous Issue #1, from the new ongoing monthly comic book series. Featuring an exclusive poster art cover from the Machinima live-action adaption by artist Mehdi Cheggour. Available exclusively from Hastings Entertainment.

Enormous tells the full tale of the aftermath of a vast ecological cataclysm which spawns colossal beasts unlike anything ever witnessed. Humankind stares down imminent extinction and the only law is to hunt or be hunted. It’s survival of the biggest as the earth-shaking sci-fi action adventure continues.

As the last vestige of humankind spirals towards annihilation, Ellen Grace leads the only remaining North American Search & Recovery Team through the deadly giant monster infested streets of Phoenix. However, she soon encounters another predator far more dangerous than the other-worldly creatures stalking the desolate city: her fellow humans.
