March 12 End of Day report – Whew, already exhausted.  Saw and said hi to Jason Reitman, who didn’t seem very chatty… darn it.  Went to the KICK-ASS red carpet and talked to stars Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Clark Duke.  Checked out the PREDATORS presentation with Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal.  And ended the evening at the KICK-ASS after-party, which had names like Jason Reitman (third time I saw him today in passing, still not very chatty), Jonah Hill, Tim Blake Nelson, and Robert Rodriguez in attendance.  Working on my PREDATORS report, but in the meantime, here is the glorious video from the KICK-ASS red carpet.

Devin will have a TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL report late Saturday, so check back for that and my write up on PREDATORS.

March 12 – We’re here at South by Southwest for the film portion of the festival, and you can check back here for comprehensive coverage of films and interviews we’re participating with while here.  Tonight, we’re taking in KICK-ASS (including scheduled red carpet coverage), Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal’s PREDATORS, and TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL starring Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine.  Check back here for full reports throughout the festival, and constant updates.  If you’re in Austin, get your butt out here!  More information can be found at http://sxsw.com

In the meantime check out the Bigfanboy Livecast episode 168 (click to listen streaming, or right click and save the MP3), featuring our SXSW preview, and EARTHLING director Clay Liford, who is premiering his film right here at SXSW on Sunday at 11:30am.  Myself and with Devin Pike talk about the films we’re looking forward to, and cover this week in movie news, plus DVD and Blu-ray releases you may not want to miss.

And here’s a look at the KICK-ASS exclusive posters (first posted at MTV) that will be available at the signings during SXSW.  Man oh man, if I can get hold of some of these, it will be happy days.  More info soon!
