Director Gareth Evans unleashed THE RAID: REDEMPTION in 2011, and for many it was a mind-blowing action movie experience… myself included. If you’ve been hungry for more, not to worry, next year you’ll get just that. THE RAID 2: BERANDAL trailer is here, courtesy of TwitchFilm, who noted “Evans says it’s to be played loud through headphones or big ass speakers only. Listen through a phone or laptop and Hammer Girl is coming to get you.” Iko Uwais returns as “Rama”, and while this teaser doesn’t give away a lot of plot points, it looks like he’s got his work cut out for him once again.

Set once again in Jakarta, the story this time is said to follow Rama, our favorite tough-as-nails police officer, who goes undercover to infiltrate the ranks of a notorious Jakarta syndicate, in an effort to protect his family and expose corruption within the police force. The film stars Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki. I can’t wait! Are you excited about this one? Let us know in the comments.

THE RAID 2: BERANDAL does not currently have a U.S. release date, but expect sometime in 2014
