Lots of cool stuff was revealed over the weekend at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but one of the more exciting things going on was the cast and crew of KICK-ASS 2 being on hand. They showed a new extended red band trailer, and we’ve got it. Check it out below, but note this is definitely a red band trailer, and everything that comes with that. I’ve got interviews with the cast coming shortly, so stay tuned. In the meantime tell us what you think, are you excited for this one?

After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

KICK-ASS 2 opens August 16, 2013
