Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET teaser trailer – Leonardo DiCaprio does dirty stock trading

It seems these days some of the older and more respected directors have a habit of casting the same leading men in all of their movies, but if the formula works then I guess it’s not such a bad thing. Martin Scorsese’s working relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio goes back over 10 years now, starting with GANGS OF NEW YORK in 2002, followed by THE AVIATOR in 2004, THE DEPARTED in 2006, and SHUTTER ISLAND in 2010. His latest collaboration is THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, based on the book by Jordan Belfort. The trailer is out, and in many ways is one of the most powerful and effective trailers to hit in a while. The feeling I got watching this is the same one I had watching the very memorable trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s PULP FICTION. Perhaps it’s the background song by Kanye West, and the smartly edited quick cuts, or even those unusual slowed down moments with Matthew McConaughey, but whatever it is that makes this engaging it’s definitely working. What we’re not seeing much of in the trailer is Jonah Hill, who looks like he may be turning in a transcendent performance. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Jon Favreau, Cristin Milioti, Ethan Suplee, Kyle Chandler, Spike Jonze, Shea Whigham, Rob Reiner and Jean Dujardin. Take a look for yourself and tell us your thoughts in the comments below. This one is definitely on our radar!
