This is one of those “you have to see to believe” kind of things. Ashton Kutcher has taken on the role of playing Apple co-founder and icon Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic jOBS. Today, via his Twitter handle, he tweeted out a side-by-side comparison of himself as “latter years” Steve Jobs and the split screen image goes a long way in selling how they are really trying to capture the late icon on film.
Also, if you haven’t seen it, here is the first clip from the film in which Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) is talking to Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad) about his idea of an operating system and how revolutionary that idea is. Check it out below and let us know if you think Aston Kutcher is the right person to portray the iconic and influential visionary.
jOBS is directed by Joshua Michael Stern and stars Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine.
SYNOPSIS: “jOBS” details the major moments and defining characters that influenced Steve Jobs on a daily basis from 1971 through 2001. “JOBS” plunges into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is as much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs’ life.
jOBS is set to boot-up in theaters on April 19, 2013.
