Have you wondered what Colin Farrell has been up to? Outside of his brief role in THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR. PARNASSUS and his even briefer role in CRAZY HEART, we haven’t seen much from him in the past few years. Hi newest film is called ONDINE, from acclaimed director Neil Jordan (who also wrote the screenplay). The story follows an Irish fisherman (Farrell) who discovers a woman in his fishing net (Alicja Bachleda) that he believes to be a mermaid. Think of it as a less-comical SPLASH… I guess. The film co-stars Tony Curran and Stephen Rea. This could be interesting, and Neil Jordan it certainly a filmmaker worth paying attention to. Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
