Are you a FLASH GORDON fan? Even seen it on the big screen? If you live in Dallas, this Saturday you can do just that with us! Bigfanboy.com has once again partnered with the historic Texas Theatre to bring you a special showing of 1980’s FLASH GORDON in 35mm. Last year Seth MacFarlane’s TED utilized FLASH GORDON (and star Sam Jones) in a big way, and as an added incentive everyone who comes out this Saturday to see FLASH GORDON on the big screen with us will receive a full-size theatrical poster for TED now available on DVD and Blu-ray). Come to the Texas Theatre on Saturday at 8:30pm (January 5), and we’ll give you a free full-size TED theatrical poster (while they last) just for buying a ticket! You could come watch the movie in classic fashion, and get a sweet new poster for your wall! The Texas Theatre is a fantastic repertory cinema house, but they occasionally show first run features as well, and on this one we’re helping them do it up in style.
You don’t have to do anything special, just buy yourself a ticket for the Saturday (January 5) 8:30pm show of FLASH GORDON - this is the only show this offer is good for! Theme attire encouraged! You must show your ticket to get a poster. Come join us Saturday for all the fun. Also, RSVP to our Facebook Event Page for this!
A few notes – if you’ve never been to the Texas Theatre, this is a great place to see movies in a classic environment. Painstakingly restored by the fine folks at Aviation Cinemas, the main house features an impressive 650 seats. Perhaps best known in history as the location where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, you’ll immediately feel the nostalgia upon entering the doors of this stylish building. The Texas Theatre also has a full bar and plenty of lounge seating, which is a great place to have a drink and talk about the film you’re about to see… or just saw! We’ll be hosting the Saturday 8:30pm showing of FLASH GORDON on January 5 - the free poster offer is ONLY good for that showing.
NOTE: We’e giving away posters while supplies last, so if you show up just before the movie starts, there’s a good chance you will NOT get one of them. Be aware of this.
