Live in Dallas? Are you a fan of Westerns? Excited about the new Quentin Tarantino film DJANGO UNCHAINED? Many people have never seen the original 1966 film DJANGO starring Franco Nero, which was the inspiration for Tarantino’s new movie, along with defining a genre for many years to come. Bigfanboy.com is once again hosting a special showing at the historic Texas Theatre, this time of the original DJANGO – a new digital remaster. Come to the Texas Theatre on Friday at 9:30pm (December 21), and we’ll give you a cool movie promo item (we have several fun items like shirts and caps from movies like TRUE GRIT, the new TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D, THE LAST STAND, RED DAWN and more) just for buying a ticket! We also have a few items we’ll be giving away for those who know their Western trivia, so be ready to raise your hand. The Texas Theatre is a fantastic repertory cinema house, but they occasionally show first run features as well, and on this one we’re helping them do it up in style.
You don’t have to do anything special, just buy yourself a ticket for the Friday (December 21) 9:30pm show of DJANGO – this is the only show this offer is good for! Western attire encouraged! You must show your ticket to get a promo item. Come join us Friday for all the fun.
A few notes – if you’ve never been to the Texas Theatre, this is a great place to see movies in a classic environment. Painstakingly restored by the fine folks at Aviation Cinemas, the main house features an impressive 650 seats. Perhaps best known in history as the location where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, you’ll immediately feel the nostalgia upon entering the doors of this stylish building. The Texas Theatre also has a full bar and plenty of lounge seating, which is a great place to have a drink and talk about the film you’re about to see… or just saw! We’ll be hosting the Friday 9:30pm showing of DJANGO on December 21 – the promo items will only be handed out at that showing.

He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
