New trailer for ZERO DARK THIRTY – Kathryn Bigelow’s newest is already making “best of” lists

Director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal have already proven themselves a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood with THE HURT LOCKER, and lightning could indeed strike twice once everyone gets to see ZERO DARK THIRTY. The true story (though some conspiracy theorists may say different) of the hunting down and eventual capture of Osama Bin Laden is already on the “Best Of” lists for many film critics this year. It’s set to open in New York and L.A. on December 19, and everywhere else in early January 2013. Sony Pictures has released one last trailer to give folks an idea of what to expect, and this may be the best one yet. You only get hints to the depth of Jessica Chastain’s role (make no mistake, this is HER film), and the roles of Jason Clarke and Kyle Chandler, but the haunting music (which is very similar to the trailer for THE SOCIAL NETWORK) makes this the trailer to see for this movie. Check it out below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Is this on your list of must see films?

For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar(R) winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history’s greatest manhunt for the world’s most dangerous man.
