Looks like Hollywood wants to wow us this week with theatrical posters. First up we had the STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS teaser, which asks more questions than it answers, and now we have a new poster for Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL featuring Superman (Henry Cavill) in chains being escorted by the military. We’ve seen images of this scene before, but it should be interesting to see how it plays out in the film. Check out the poster above and tell us your thoughts in the comments. If you’ve missed the teaser trailers (with narration by Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner), you can see those below as well.

MAN OF STEEL is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Russell Crowe.

SYNOPSIS: Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.” The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

MAN OF STEEL is set to hit theaters on June 14, 2013.
