Bigfanboy.com celebrates an 8-year anniversary with a Dallas party!

Bigfanboy.com started in late 2004, and over the years has developed a loyal readership and fan base – we are officially the longest-running movie news and review website in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This December marks the 8th Anniversary of the site, and we’re going to celebrate in style. On December 2nd, you are cordially invited to join us at the Angelika Dallas Theater in the cocktail lounge for a special holiday party.

All attendees will have access to awesome one-sheet movie posters from hot current films and upcoming releases – and there’s plenty for everyone! We’ll also be giving out tickets for door prizes, including signed items, DVDs, shirts and caps, and more. During the evening we’ll be making some exciting announcements, and saying thanks to those who helped make these past eight years so very great. This is going to be a fun and relaxed evening for everyone, and to make it extra special, there’s gonna be free cake! Please join us at the Angelika Theatre in Dallas at 6:00 pm Central Time – Sunday, Dec 2nd, and following the party we’ll be watching the mid-season finale of THE WALKING DEAD upstairs on the big screen. Join the Facebook event page HERE to let us know you’re coming. Hope to see you there!

Prizes come courtesy of Summit Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Fox Searchlight, The Weinstein Company, Filmdistrict and Official Pix.

About the Author

Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. After three years of service there, he started Bigfanboy.com, which has become one of the Dallas film community's leading information websites. Bigfanboy hosts several movie screenings in the Texas area, and works closely with film and TV studios and promotional partners to host exciting events and contests. The site also features a variety of rare celebrity and filmmaker interviews, and Bigfanboy.com regularly covers the film festival circuit as well. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
