Dallas – watch THE ‘BURBS at the new Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson with us, Nov 16, we’ve got prizes!!

If you haven’t heard the news, there’s a new Alamo Drafthouse opening up next year in Richardson, TX – and we couldn’t be happier about it. To get folks prepared for the arrival (they estimate sometime in May to open) we’re helping co-host a special outdoor showing of THE ‘BURBS, that classic 1989 comedy starring Tom Hanks. If for some strange reason you’ve never seen it… well, shame on you. But hey, this would be a great way to check it out, and it’s free! Plus to add incentive for our Dallas readers to make the trip, Bigfanboy.com will be on hand giving out cool promotional movie items, and doing prize drawings for all sorts of goodies, like t-shirts, caps, DVDs, and more! There may even be some signed memorabilia in there!! Wear pajamas if you like. Here’s all you need to know:

Stop by the location of the new Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson starting at 5pm on Friday, November 16th. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR. This is an outdoor screening, and there will be food trucks and beverages available to purchase, but no chairs, so bring your own chair. Don’t say we didn’t tell you – bring your own chair. The new Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson is located at 100 S. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080 – here’s a map.

All th latest info at the Facebook event page.  You can also find out more information on their official website or Facebook page.  The movie is scheduled to start around 7pm or a little after, but there will be fun contests leading up to it, so anytime after 5pm feel free to join us. No purchase necessary, but with the weather being a little chilly, we do recommend bringing a jacket. This is a free event, so get there as early as you can, we’re not sure what to expect on crowd. Should be fun! Get a taste of exciting things to come with the DFW location of the Alamo Drafthouse – a theater you’ll want to visit again and again.
