Move over Batman, Woody Harrelson is DEFENDOR! Trailer debut

Woody Harrelson may be experiencing a bit of a comeback, after last year’s hit ZOMBIELAND, and now the new independent superhero film (I guess you could call it that) DEFENDOR.  Harrelson co-stars with Kat Dennings, Sandra Oh, and Elias Koteas.  Seasoned actor Peter Stebbings wrote and directed the film.  The story centers around a man named Arthur Poppington (Harrelson) who believes he’s a superhero, his psychiatrist (Oh), and a teenager he becomes friends with (Dennings).  This quirky trailer takes some jabs at Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT, and other dramatic comic book movies.  I think this could be really special, and it’s already testing strongly on the film festival circuit.  Sony has picked up distribution rights, but is reportedly releasing the film on DVD with a limited theatrical release (most likely in select art house cinemas). DEFENDOR premieres in Los Angeles on February 26, followed by other select cities.
