Trailer for Neil Marshall’s newest film CENTURION

Director Neil Marshall has a new film coming out, and it looks pretty darn cool.  CENTURION takes place in Britain, 117 A.D. – Quintus Dias, the sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, marches North with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon… or at least that’s the description given on IMDB for a plot.  Check the trailer out for yourself.  The film stars Michael Fassbender (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS), Dominic West (THE WIRE), and Olga Kurylenko (QUANTUM OF SOLACE).  Marshall wowed audiences with solid films like DOG SOLDIERS and THE DESCENT, but left many feeling cold with his post-apocalyptic action flick DOOMSDAY.  Knowing what he’s done, and his style of directing, I think this could be a big comeback project for him.  If you ask me, what I see here looks great!  This was originally posted at IGN.

CENTURION opens in the UK on April 23, 2010 (no word on U.S. release dates at this time)
