LAY THE FAVORITE poster & trailer, plus “I am Dink” clip – Bruce Willis is just a gambler

One thing you can say with certainty about Bruce Willis – he isn’t lazy. The DIE HARD superstar has five movies either out or coming out in 2012, and that would have been six had G.I. JOE: RETALIATION not been pushed back to Spring 2013. The new Stephen Frears (THE QUEEN, HIGH FIDELITY) comedy finds Willis and leading lady Rebecca Hall (THE TOWN) in a Vegas setting with gambling as the theme. It co-stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joshua Jackson, and Vince Vaughn (who is strangely absent from all of the marketing). Check out the new poster above and trailer below, followed by a clip from the film (courtesy of Yahoo) which introduces Bruce’s “Dink” character. Based on the real life memoirs of the real Beth Raymer, who Hall is playing in the film.

Beth Raymer (Hall) leaves behind her life as a stripper in Florida and heads to Las Vegas to realize her dream: being a cocktail waitress in a glitzy casino. But, when her career goals don’t pan out, she falls in with Dink (Willis), a kind and idiosyncratic sports gambler. Beth wins Dink’s admiration when she shows herself to be something of a gambling prodigy, but she also wins the ire of Dink’s wife, Tulip (Zeta-Jones), when her relationship with her boss seems to extend beyond the professional. Based on a true story, LAY THE FAVORITE is a heartfelt comedy of finding friendship in the least likely places.
