Most people, even hardcore Bond fans, have never had the chance to see the original Sean Connery classic DR. NO on a big screen… well if you live in Dallas, that changes now. The Texas Theatre is showing an original 35mm print of the Ian Fleming adaptation in all its glory, and Bigfanboy.com is once again hosting a special showing at the historic Texas Theatre – 007 weekend! Come to the Texas Theatre on Sunday (September 23), and we’ll give you a free full-size SKYFALL theatrical poster (while they last – but we have a LOT) just for buying a ticket! Bigfanboy.com has partnered with Sony Pictures to celebrate the new 007 adventure starring Daniel Craig hitting theaters November 9th, and what better way to hype that up than to see the original Bond film on a big screen? You could come watch the movie in classic fashion, and get a sweet new poster for your wall! The Texas Theatre is a fantastic repertory cinema house, but they occasionally show first run features as well, and on this one we’re helping them do it up in style.
You don’t have to do anything special, just buy yourself a ticket for the Sunday (September 23) for the 5:00pm show of DR. NO – this is the only show this offer is good for! James Bond attire encouraged! You must show your ticket to get a poster. Come join us Sunday for all the fun.
A few notes – if you’ve never been to the Texas Theatre, this is a great place to see movies in a classic environment. Painstakingly restored by the fine folks at Aviation Cinemas, the main house features an impressive 650 seats. Perhaps best known in history as the location where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, you’ll immediately feel the nostalgia upon entering the doors of this stylish building. The Texas Theatre also has a full bar and plenty of lounge seating, which is a great place to have a drink and talk about the film you’re about to see… or just saw! We’ll be hosting the Sunday 5pm showing of DR. NO on September 23 – the free poster offer is ONLY good for that showing.
NOTE: We’e giving away items while supplies last, so if you show up just before the movie starts, there’s a good chance you will NOT get one of our goodies. Be aware of this.
